MG Kailis Pty Ltd has been using Cleanoxide tablets in its fish trawl business since 2013.
Following extensive trials and Microbiological analysis, Cleanoxide tablets dissolved in refrigerated sea-water used for chilling fresh fish, was found to markedly improve the Quality Index Scores of fish as well as a much reduced Standard Plate Count on the fish.
These quality improvements were especially noticeable on fish which had been stored for longer periods in the vessels fish hold.
The dosage being used on our fish trawl vessel is two tablets per brine tank which gives a solution strength of 20 parts per million and the tablets are dissolved in the brine tank just prior to loading fish into them.
It has enabled the vessel to spend longer at sea and still deliver quality fish to the market at the end of the fishing trip.
